Reading is not usually thought of as a mecca for competitive road cycling, but just over the Thames lie the Southern end of the Chiltern Hills and that’s where i’ll be going for this ride.
Miles of rural countryside, mostly along quiet roads will make this a great day out in the saddle.
There’s a few hills in the 50 mile route, but these are mainly short or easy climbs unlike the steep lung busters of the previous North Downs route.
This route is organised and recorded by Evans Cycles with the finishing times of all riders posted on the Evans Cycles website after the event.
